- It will be interesting to see how elastic demand really is - the play really doesn't seem so much about cost but about delivering a platform for governments/educational institutions. They aren't usually price sensitive, so it won't be this price change that makes or breaks the effort.

- Article presents two interesting questions: 1) How do we manage all of the data without more meta-data? 2) How do we prevent the collection of the data from crowding out the actual experience? I think both have technological solutions.

- I don't know how many others have tried this, but I've been beta testing OneCare and I'm not totally impressed. There are two major downsides: (1) it doesn't integrate Anti-Spyware and (2) the backup is awful.

- I agree - it is critically important to stay on top of what is out there, because it will shape how you scope and staff projects. I would also suggest that a conference a year is a good way to stay on top of what the pipeline is going to look like.

- I'm all for professional baseball in Washington, however I do think the costs must be contained given the dire need is so many of the other core services like schools, police, and EMS.
